We are part of God's family by faith in the Lord Jesus. In this message that was delivered by Pastor Conaway on our annual Family and Friends Day, we were reminded that we are one in Christ if we believe in Jesus Christ and have accepted Him as our personal Savior and Lord. The family of God therefore consists of believers from all nationalities and ethnicities. It is important that we recognize who our brothers and sisters are and strive to reach out to biological family members, relatives, neighbors, and coworkers (i.e., people in our circle of influence) with the Good News of Jesus Christ so they can choose to accept Him as their Savior and Lord. It is equally important that we help people understand that just attending church or being raised in a Christian home does not automatically make them a child of God. They must believe in Jesus Christ who declared in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me", and take the steps stated in Romans 10:9: "that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."
